Additional programs for KannelFrom this page you can download additional programs for Kannel that hasn't been included in the Kannel distribution packets, they might however be included in the future. Download, test and play with them and send your comments to users@kannel.org OTA (Over the Air) configuration support3G LAB has reverse engineered the OTA specification for the Nokia 7110 and they have also made a OTA patch for Kannel. They used the phone as a smsc feature of Kannel to send and receive the OTA-messages and this way studied and reverse engineered the OTA specification. The OTA messages were sent from mobile operators web pages (Radiolinja and BT Cellnet). Yann Muller from 3G LAB also made the phone as SMSC support which is now included in the Kannel distribution. You can download 3G LAB's version of the OTA specification and the Kannel OTA patch from: Webmin module for configuring and administering KannelTo use the Kannel webmin module you first need to install Webmin. The Kannel webmin module can read, parse and write the Kannel configuration file. You can also launch, stop and see the status of Kannel. We are at the moment looking at how to integrate WTLS in Kannel so it can be included in the Kannel distribution packet. For now you have to use the patch that can be downloaded from:

It has extra code needed to make it work with real phones, and has been tested with the Nokia 7110, Nokia 6210, Motorola Timeport t250, and Siemens c35i. Zig cats has released a different updated version. It has similar features as the one above, and has been tested with the Nokia 7110. Kannel module for the mon monitoring toolThis is a Perl module for use with the "mon" monitoring tool available at the Linux Kernel Site http://www.kernel.org/pub/software/admin/mon/. It uses Kannel's fakewap utility to simulate a request to Kannel and checks if the magic-url "kannel:alive" is responding from the wapbox and the bearerbox.
